Beatrice Allen

Beatrice Allen’s interest in the biography and lives of objects is reflected in the research and documentative style of her practice. Investigating the origins and journey of found objects, she explores methods of obtaining people’s personal information, highlighting the transparency of peoples assumed privacy. The interest came from the anthropological link between people and objects and how they can narrate lives. She uses archives and social media as tools in her research, using documentative styles of presenting the information, in the form of books and a recent development into experimenting with video.
